Ay?e, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. 　　However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. 　　Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble. 　　本片是蘇聯(lián)偉大衛(wèi)國戰(zhàn)爭系列史詩巨片之一部。影片盡情歌頌了蘇聯(lián)人民，在德國法西斯圍困列寧格勒的900個艱難的日日夜夜，所表現(xiàn)出來的頑強(qiáng)精神。影片及表現(xiàn)了蘇軍大本營對列寧格勒的戰(zhàn)略布防，也表現(xiàn)出列寧格勒市民面對生死的堅忍不拔。同時也是為數(shù)不多的蘇聯(lián)戰(zhàn)爭影片，客觀地表現(xiàn)了戰(zhàn)爭初期紅軍失利，以及紅軍將領(lǐng)伏羅希洛夫元帥組織列寧格勒城防的失敗。影片還展現(xiàn)了列寧格勒基洛夫工廠，冒著的德軍轟炸，堅持為前線生產(chǎn)武器，以及軍隊和市民通過城市唯一與外界的通道——拉多加湖通道，運送糧食、武器和其他戰(zhàn)略物資的場面。該片還較為詳實地展示了希特勒攻占列寧格勒的計劃，以及紅軍與市民聯(lián)手防御，共同抗敵的畫面。這部影片，將戰(zhàn)爭的全景展示與戰(zhàn)壕細(xì)節(jié)完美地結(jié)合起來，直到今天仍不失為一部反法西戰(zhàn)爭的優(yōu)秀影片，很值得觀賞和借鑒。
