故事開始于1913年的巴塞羅那，艾瑪（蕾歐諾·瓦特林暫無內(nèi)容Leonor暫無內(nèi)容Watling暫無內(nèi)容飾）挺著肚子正在準備迎接腹中新的生命，就在這個節(jié)骨眼上，她的丈夫里昂（阿萊克斯·布倫德穆爾暫無內(nèi)容Alex暫無內(nèi)容Brendemühl暫無內(nèi)容飾）竟然離家出走音信全無。在姐夫薩爾瓦多（路伊斯·托沙暫無內(nèi)容Luis暫無內(nèi)容Tosar暫無內(nèi)容飾）的幫助之下，艾瑪開始調(diào)查里昂的去向。從后者留下的種種蛛絲馬跡看來，一個神秘的女病人和里昂的失蹤有著千絲萬縷的關(guān)聯(lián)。

Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble.
