Ay?e, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. 　　However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. 　　Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble. 調味的房子

　　20世紀末，波黑戰火籠罩的巴爾干地區。聾啞少女安吉爾（羅茜·戴伊 Rosie Day 飾）目睹了親人鄰居被武裝分子殘忍殺害的一幕，在此之后她也失去自由，與數名同齡女孩被擄至暴徒維克托（凱文·霍華斯 Kevin Howarth 飾）所盤踞的地獄之所。女孩們被迫淪為性奴，飽受摧殘與折磨，生命卑微有如在暴風雨中搖曳的燭火。身處無聲世界的安吉爾似乎得到上天微薄的憐惜，她每天的工作便是穿梭于各個房間，為女孩們擦拭血跡，注射藥物，緩解疼痛，小小年紀卻見識了人世間最殘酷的景象。慘無人道且防守嚴密的人間煉獄，安吉爾決定帶著姐妹們逃出生天。當殺母仇人格倫突然來到此地，一切走向失控的邊緣……　　本片榮獲2013年葡萄牙國際奇幻電影節影評人選擇獎。
