瀧島家的兩兄弟年齡相仿，性格迥異。哥哥夏久（石原裕次郎 飾）風流倜儻，浪蕩不羈；弟弟春次（津川雅彥 飾）則溫柔靦腆，內向老實。某日，兄弟倆乘火車前往逗子度假，出站時遇見了美麗的少女天草惠梨（北原三枝 飾），春次登時為其所傾倒。不久，他們在乘船出海時再次邂逅游泳的惠梨，三個年輕人相談甚歡，春次最終鼓起勇氣邀請女孩參加他們的舞會。惠梨曼妙的舞姿成為當晚的亮點，所有男孩都目瞪口呆，連夏久也心有所動。又一天，夏久和一眾好友在俱樂部歌舞時，看見惠梨和外國人翩翩起舞。張揚跋扈的他強吻惠梨，兩人糾纏在一起。從此，瀧島兄弟和同一女孩的關系變得愈加微妙……

But Soriya’s waking hours in the apartment and its surroundings are punctuated by terrifying, bloody visions, almost as though she were a conduit for horrors of the past wanting to seep into the present.　　Inrasothythep Neth and Sokyou Chea’s blood-chilling psychological horror explores a personal and political past through the present, transforming a characterful space into an insidious environment. Surrounded by modern high-rises, this decrepit structure, with its brutalist architecture and peeling surfaces, is a relic from a dark period in history whose painful memories it has absorbed. In tracing Soriya’s ominous journey back to her roots, Tenement hints at a necessary reckoning with Cambodia’s political past without overplaying its historical dimension. It’s an impressive work from a woefully underrepresented national cinema.
