Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble. 鬼馬智多星
林子祥,麥嘉,泰迪·羅賓,姚煒,曹達華,岑建勛,曾志偉30年代的香港，社局動蕩，黑幫林立。香港大亨胡老頭這日找到私家偵探哎吆（林子祥 飾），要求其調查胡太太，因為他覺得胡太太這些天表現奇怪。哎吆調查后發現，原來是壞蛋神父卡邦派（麥嘉 飾）人勾搭上了胡太，意欲偷取胡老頭價值連城的股票。他們這一計劃遭哎吆撞破后，四處追殺哎吆。 哎吆亡命之際，又發現了胡老頭其實并非什么香港大亨，只是一名老千，他來香港的目的就是要騙卡邦等流氓的錢。胡老頭邀請哎吆入伙，一起設局騙卡邦。和好友探長羅賓（泰迪?羅賓 飾）商量后，哎吆決定來個將計就計。
