好像一切都很糟糕

Ay?e, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. 　　However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. 　　Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble. 妖狐傳

　　周興商滅時期，神都戰神拓跋羽帶回一個九霄靈狐，關押在府內。此后神都屢屢出現懸案，懸案中的死者均是神都極美的女子，神都城內人心惶惶。　　為了平息此事，戰神懸賞千兩查找與案子相關的線索，降魔師主動請纓。降魔師的出現讓真相逐漸浮出水面，大家在降魔師的引導下將目光放在了戰神帶回的女子小九身上，并大膽質疑小九是妖，全神都為之震動。戰神帶回的女子雖是九霄靈狐，但因其所吸人靈不足只算得上半妖。神都女子之死表面都出自她手而實際上都與她無關。　　真兇其實是戰神拓跋羽，九霄靈狐則是他最后一個獵殺對象，他殺四十九名美艷女子是為了集齊四十九個美艷女子的陰靈，然后與九霄靈狐的妖靈一同煉化使自己早日修成大成，不料最后被降魔師識破，戰神無法繼續隱藏，只能兔死狗烹與降魔師進行對抗，降魔師不敵敗下陣來，眼看戰神即將修成大成，降魔師攜手九霄靈狐將拓跋羽治服。降魔師為使一方安寧，收走九霄靈狐一縷靈魄讓別有用心之人無法借由九霄靈狐修害人之法術。
