　　故事開始于明朝，鳳三（元華 飾）心腸歹毒，無惡不作，身為錦衣衛，同時又是鳳三的師弟，方守正（元彪 飾）發誓要將鳳三繩之于法。然而，鳳三此人詭計多端，甚至想要偷取能夠扭轉時空的黑玉佛，借此逃脫法網，幾番爭斗之后，兩人雙雙跌落山崖?！　r光荏苒，轉眼已是現代，考古隊在雪地中挖掘出了鳳三和方守正被冰封住的尸體，將兩人運往美國研究，然而，途中一場意外卻令兩人死而復生。方守正于機緣巧合之下遇見了名為阿玉（張曼玉 飾）的不良少女，陰差陽錯的成為了她的保鏢，而鳳三不改奸邪本性，加入了黑社會，繼續為非作歹。當方守正得知鳳三依舊作惡多端后，他決定繼續自己未完成的使命。

Ay?e, Ali, Mehmet and Zeynep are middle-class millennials struggling to make ends meet in Istanbul. Either still living with their parents or hardly getting by without help from their families, they are all beset by similar woes: money crunch, joblessness, social isolation. In view of the world’s horrors that Zeynep enumerates in her diary entries, these are minor problems, ‘slight disasters’, but they are all-consuming, at least to the extent of making them cry in the still of the night. 　　However, Umut Subasi’s first feature, Almost Entirely a Slight Disaster, is not a melodrama. With an appealingly light touch, it diagnoses the malaise of a generation that has run up against a dead end, one whose future prospects are indistinguishable from a game of chance. This is a world where astrology, the lottery and online personality tests compete with visa and job applications as life-shaping elements. 　　Fittingly, the film is structured around chance and coincidence, with its handful of characters encountering each other in every permutation, as though there were no world outside this small social bubble.
