20世紀(jì)60年代，安保運(yùn)動(dòng)如火如荼，日本社會(huì)動(dòng)蕩不安。這份躁動(dòng)肆意延伸，繼而連家庭親人間也無法避免。青年左兵（吉沢健 飾）是全共斗的一名成員，時(shí)常活躍在革命運(yùn)動(dòng)的第一線。而他的哥哥則是一名警察，不同的階級(jí)立場(chǎng)令流著相同血液的兄弟倆時(shí)常發(fā)生爭(zhēng)吵。某個(gè)晚上，憤怒的哥哥對(duì)左兵拳腳相向，嫂子袖里（武藤洋子 飾）從旁?shī)^力阻攔，卻無意間槍殺了丈夫。 在此之后，左兵將哥哥偽裝成自殺的場(chǎng)面，隨后帶著袖里逃亡。逃亡期間，袖里為自責(zé)所折磨，痛苦不堪，這兩個(gè)同病相憐的人兒最終墜入愛河。一路向北的逃亡之旅，不知何時(shí)是一個(gè)終點(diǎn)

A group of young men dare a classmate to reach the porch of a legendary old house, said to be haunted by the thirteen victims of a family massacre. In hopes of making a viral video they arm him with a video camera to prove he was there or to capture him fleeing in terror before even reaching the house, as others have. When he doesn't return, the guys must go in to get him. Inside they discover the truth about the house, the fate of their friend and their own fate as well.

The duo become a trio as well-to-do Lou joins them, and life on the island takes shape under the command of devout Matron. The trio rail against the system, dubious of the benevolence of the bible and taking refuge in their blossoming friendship. It’s hard to reform girls who don’t believe they need reforming. However, a sense of doom settles in when experimental forms of punishment take place in the dead of night. Nellie and Daisy plot rebellion, but unexpectedly find themselves at odds with Lou, who is afraid to break the rules.
