　　晴朗的一天，三年前痛失男友的珍娜（絲柯·泰勒-考普頓 Scout Taylor-Compton 飾）與好友瑞妮（克里斯蒂娜·尤羅爾 Christina Ulloa 飾）、邁克（邁克爾·科彭 Michael Copon 飾）以及新結(jié)識(shí)的帥氣青年伊安（特拉維斯·范·文克 Travis Van Winkle 飾）前往某個(gè)鄉(xiāng)村，參加當(dāng)?shù)嘏e行的五月節(jié)。湖畔小屋，笑語(yǔ)歡歌，青年男女們縱情歡樂(lè)，只有珍娜強(qiáng)顏歡笑，似乎久久無(wú)法從三年前的慘劇中走出。隨著夜幕降臨，四人走入桑拿室，體會(huì)無(wú)上的蒸汽享受，而危機(jī)也正一步步向他們迫近。在此期間，邁克和瑞妮突然爆發(fā)爭(zhēng)吵，前者奪門(mén)而出，大發(fā)雷霆，而瑞妮和珍娜、伊安稍后卻發(fā)現(xiàn)，他們?nèi)藚s被意外鎖在桑拿室中。　　溫度逐漸升高，而死神的腳步越來(lái)越近……

等待方舟

　　Set in an underground dungeon inhabited by bundled, ragged human beings, after the nuclear holocaust. The story follows the wanderings of a hero through the situations of survival. People wait for the Ark to arrive and rescue them while their habitat falls apart.　　Delving deep into the dusty and long abandonded vaults of b-cinema in search of lost gems always leaves me with a bittersweet taste. On one hand the discovery of unexpected gems where no one would think them possible is a rewarding experience. On the other hand though it makes one wonder how many of these remarkable low-budget oddities, personal love affairs of directors never quite famous and now all but forgotten, have almost forever slipped from memory?　　n any case what we have here is a little post-apocalyptic gem from Poland that is really better than it has any right to. The dystopian near future of O-BI, O-BA finds a group of survivors of the nuclear war that ravaged the Earth inhabiting an underworld concrete bunker and biding their time as they wait for the mysterious Ark, an air ship of some kind that will come and save them. The Ark proves to be an elaborate hoax, carefully designed to give hope to the malnourished and desperate denizens of the bunker, while in the meantime the dome that separates their miserable existence from the nuclear winter outside is slowly caving in.　　What first striked me about the movie is the design of the bunker and the depiction of the survivors. The survivors are gaunt, filthy and terrible-looking penitents, dressed in rags and aimlessly wandering the neon-lit halls of the bunker like automatons. The bunker is a rundown, seedy place, with bright neon lights peering from all sides like the eyes of malignant beasts.　　On one hand it is a slightly 80's depiction of the dystopian future but the movie never stoops down to MAD MAX cheese. Instead it combines biting political satire with the bleak outlook of a world with no future, black comedy with barbs on apathy, religion and power. The survivors, for example, are fed some kind of flour dropping from a tube that hovers in the air - later on we discover the food supervisor uses books and the Bible itself as filler for this meagre meal. There are many such short symbolic touches, perhaps not life-changing or faith-restoring, yet playful, clever and inspired.　　One thing is for sure; O-BI, O-BA is not your run-of-the-mill sci-fi schlock. It overcomes its modest budget with creativity and has genuine artistic aspirations both from a writing and directing perspective. My opinion is that it should have been filmed in black and white instead of colour though. The director uses atmospheric light and shadow to great effect and it would have registered even better in stark black and white. The blue-green neon on the other hand outstays its welcome after a while. Just a minor gripe in an otherwise solid b-movie with its heart set in all the right places.　　Imagine a less bleak THE ROAD (Cormac McCarthy) being injected with the satire and humour of DR.STRANGELOVE and you're getting there. See it if you can find it.

During a meeting with one of the most promising candidates, Stella, the girl will reveal them that the script of the movie is pretty similar to a story she knows well: the story of how she died.

 曾拍《大空頭》（The Big Short）聚焦美國(guó)次貸危機(jī)的導(dǎo)演亞當(dāng)·邁凱（Adam McKay）日前與派拉蒙簽約，將導(dǎo)演一部講述美國(guó)前副總統(tǒng)迪克·切尼（Dick Cheney）故事的傳記片。而布拉德·皮特的“B計(jì)劃”制片公司也將繼《點(diǎn)球成金》、《大空頭》后再次與邁凱合作，制作這部電影。迪克·切尼號(hào)稱是美國(guó)歷史上最有權(quán)勢(shì)的副總統(tǒng)，他也是現(xiàn)任美國(guó)副總統(tǒng)彭斯（Mike Pence）的效仿對(duì)象。布什當(dāng)政八年時(shí)間里，表面上切尼是美國(guó)的二號(hào)人物，但實(shí)際上小布什總統(tǒng)（George W. Bush）的很多決定，包括阿富汗戰(zhàn)爭(zhēng)、入侵伊拉克等都是由他定奪的。切尼本人是一個(gè)充滿爭(zhēng)議的矛盾體。他一直都是保守黨派，曾為尼克松、福特、老布什政府做過(guò)幕僚，后進(jìn)入哈利伯頓公司當(dāng)了幾年CEO，然后和小布什一起入主白宮；但他對(duì)于同性戀婚姻卻持支持態(tài)度，因?yàn)樗呐畠菏且幻詰佟４送猓心嵛宕瓮涎硬辉溉ピ綉?zhàn)戰(zhàn)場(chǎng)，卻是個(gè)不折不扣的主戰(zhàn)鷹派。亞當(dāng)·邁凱說(shuō)：“我一直覺(jué)得切尼是個(gè)有意思的人物，很想搞清楚究竟是什么在驅(qū)動(dòng)他、他到底信仰什么。所以我們就做了深挖調(diào)查，結(jié)果令人震驚，切尼堪稱是美國(guó)現(xiàn)代史上最有權(quán)力的政治人物，他在很大程度上塑造了美國(guó)現(xiàn)在的國(guó)際地位，而他為了攫取權(quán)力所采取的方式也令人瞠目結(jié)舌。”亞當(dāng)·邁凱希望能在2017年春拍攝本片，并在年底上映。目前他正在物色合適的演員人選。亞當(dāng)·邁凱拍攝《切尼傳》，意味著他之前接手的《壞血》（Bad Blood）項(xiàng)目要往后推遲了。
